"flūte d'Amour"  J. DENNER (1720)

flute d'amour

This flute d'amour is inspired by an original by Denner and is pitched with B as its lowest note, (i.e. a minor third below the standard size traverso).
Only the proportions corresponding to those of the original with regards the "flute d'amour" joint itself and the head joint have been conserved, the right hand joint and foot
not allowing for just intonation and correct functioning. I have therefore had to recalculate their correct size and bore.
