I.H. ROTTENBURGH 415 (~1730)
I
was lucky to have had the opportunity of restoring this flute
which
was initially in Paris but is now in Tokyo.
A
very beautiful instrument possessing a sonority which is both clear
and subtle with a solidity in the bass
and an agility in the higher
register.
The
original is pitched in 405 Hz. but I have been able to modify it
whilst retaining all of
its
qualities relating to intonation and
precision so as to produce a copy in the more workable pitch of 415
Hz.
The
original was made in boxwood but grenadilla can give it a tone which
proves to be just as attractive.
engraved key as the original.
