G.A.ROTTENBURGH (1750)
An instrument
made famous by Barthold Kuijken, who used it a lot early in his
career
which has been copied by numerous flute makers. It is an
instrument full of grace and
subtlety,
particularly well in tune, its
only weak point being that it is sometimes found to have a slightly
limited dynamic.
If
we wish to retain all its original charm, I believe that box is the
wood that suits it best.
415
pitch is the best adapted to it but it can be made in 430 and modern
440 pitch can also be envisaged.
